The following is an excellent video of the use of U-Substitution to evaluate the indefinite integral:
(3x^2+2x)e^(x^3+x^2)dx

U Substitution is very important. In this video we see it being used twice in one integral.

Then we see the same integral evaluated again using algebra to rearrange the initial form.
